This is our absolute favorite melting pot! Chantile is one amazing sever and the manager truly cares about making sure you're happy. The coolest thing about this melting pot is that they go above and beyond for special occasions. I highly recommend this place!

Pretty good food ( coq au vin) with tuna filet and chicken. The atmosphere is not what I remembered. The service was sub par too. All of the servers repeating the same canned spiel about the menu made it feel as if we were watching a flight attendant recite the safety message at the beginning of a flight. We had to ask for drinks two or three times before they came out. Our empty glasses sat on the table for the entire meal. The server even apologized for everything taking so long. You would think a manager would have visited our table given he realized he gave poor service. This is my last visit to this location. I do not like leaving with a feeling regret for my choice. Especially on our 5 year anniversary.

We came on a weeknight. We bad reservations, but were seated right away at our own table. The menu was a little different from other melting pots, but the waiter explained it to us. Service was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back to this location.

I LOVE Melting Pot for their Happy Hour. The drinks are 1/2 priced and the apps are $5... You can't beat the deal. Great food with great drinks for a cheap price! This is my favorite HH (that I've found so far) in all of Pinellas County. You just can't beat the quality and the price. It's kinda a hidden gem though. They are never terribly busy at the bar for happy hour. Service can suck though. For dinner, you can't go wrong here, if you are not in a hurry. This is a long, long meal. Come prepared for that. It's delicious though and a lot of fun, especially with a large crowd.

First time coming to this location! I made a reservation for 2 at 8:45. We weren't seated until 10 minutes after that. Our server was awesome. He was attentive, professional and funny. Our fondue was great. Our favorite was the cheddar cheese fondue, and the veggies with the cheese. There's plenty of seating, very good for groups. There are different rooms for seating which is cool, it's gives you a mansion feel. Bring anyone! Just make sure you make a reservation, or you could be waiting double the time if you don't have a reservation. Cheers!

Love!!! Try Yin and yang chocolate fondue. It is a good place to have a date or go with family

I've been to the melting pot about four times now and I've never had a bad experience. This place can be great for parties or for a nice couple's night out (I would suggest asking for a booth in a secluded area to make it more romantic). I always get the four course meal which includes your choice of a cheese fondue, salad, different platters of meats, and finally dessert. I recommend getting the duck platter as part of your entrée because it's just simply delicious. Desserts are a must when I come here. I haven't missed a shot yet with whatever dessert that I choose. Everything tastes simply amazing and I never leave hungry.

Upon arriving at The Melting Pot I found the place to be cute, very inviting and romantic. I'd defintely go on a date to this place breaks up the evening makes for good laughs and conversation. Staff was very friendly and helped with figuring out the menu. We only went for the cheese and chocolate experience and we were full just from that! Only downside is that its pricey, but worth the experience. Maybe try one fondue at a time/visit.

The Melting Pot is hands down one of my favorite chains. I mean they give you huge pots of melty cheese / broth or chocolate and tell you to play with your food. How could you not love that? I have been to this location about half a dozen times. It is actually the only Melting Pot that I have been to. Every single time has been great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has lots of little dark nooks and cranny's that make it romantic. The building is so old that there are even rumors of ghosts. Ask your server about it. On to the food. I don't think that there has been a single item that I have had at The Melting Pot that I haven't liked. My favorite is the cheese fondue. Any of them, I am not too picky. Order a side of the rosemary fries to dip in your fondue too! You can thank me later. I also was recently able to try their new Fundone menu and it is dang good. The chefs here can cook. So, don't be afraid to order from that menu. I had lobster, chicken, filet mignon and all of it was served with three dipping sauces: Goat Cheese Fondue, Marsala and Savory Cabernet. Amazing. I also really loved the Wild Mushroom Sacchetti. You can dip it in one of the three sauces, but it really doesn't need it. It is probably the best pasta I have had from a non-Italian restaurant. You also can not go wrong with the chocolate fondue. I have tried probably about 5 different ones over the years and I have loved them all. Note: some of them get lit on fire which is always fun! I also want to mention the Deep South Tea which will knock your socks off. If you are a Long Island Ice Tea fan, order one of these. Just make sure you are not driving. Make sure you sign up for their newsletters!! They occasionally offer free cheese fondue with no strings attached (look out around National Cheese Day). You have to RSVP and the spots do fill up. We try to go to this and then order a chocolate fondue for dessert to follow it up. It makes for a cheap and romantic date night. Melting Pot I will be seeing you again and again.

The melting pot has been in St. Petersburg for at least 25 or 30 years. I haven't been back to the Melting Pot in about 15 years. I started my evening at the bar waiting for my other dinning companions. The bar service was very good and they have an excellent happy hour drink special, everything is half off. They have a hot and dirty martini that is delicious, I would order this again ...so tasty. We sat down a little after 7 but no one came over to us to take drink orders or welcome us. After about 15 minutes we said something, I guess they forgot about us . A manager came over and apologized and bought our first round of drinks. I wish I could say the service got better from there. Everything seemed to take awhile, we received our second course but we didn't get our salads. When she realized she didn't give us the salads, she asked us to just let the wine simmer and she would bring our salads out to us. Drinks also took awhile to get and I think that was due to there only being one bartender and the night we were their they were having a special event. Overall we were dinning for over 3 hours. I totally understand fondue evening take awhile, 2 hours seems reasonable, not over 3 . I think my favorite part was the cheese fondue and the dessert. I would come back for happy hour and either cheese or dessert fondue.

By far the worst Melting Pot we've ever been to. We had 8pm reservations on a Wednesday and still had to wait over 30 minutes to be sat only to walk by several open tables. While waiting we sat at the bar which took us over 10 minutes to get a drink as the bartender was too busy taking care of his tables. The ambiance was depressing. It felt like an old ski lodge. After finally being sat we waited about an hour for our food which was an embarrassment to Melting Pot. Our waitress was very pleasant however she seemed quite busy and did not visit us but twice during our entire meal. We even had to have another server close out our check. To finish it off, management avoided us the entire night and when he finally was forced to visit our table due to a groupon authorization, he showed no interest in our experience. Which is fine with us because we would never return regardless. Save your time and go to Tampa or Sarasota melting pot or one of the many other restaurants in St Pete! Applebees would have been an upgrade!!

Yummmm! We came for a fun dining experience. We got it, but we also got delicious food. Amazing Qhattro Framaggio, California salad, filet mignon Coq au Vin, and chocolate fondue. We will be back.

We love The Melting Pot! It is our celebration place as well as the place we take others to, in order to show them an awesome experience. We love their cocktails. The best one to date was a spicy pineapple one they no longer carry. My favorite course in the cheese course. I am a huge fan of cheese anyway. Our favorite at this point in time is the spinach and artichoke cheese fondue. Garlic and a touch of hot sauce to top off this pot of yummy deliciouness is what makes it even more special. And we love the fresh veggies with this cheese the best!

This is my favorite Melting Pot in Tampa Bay. I'm not being biased in my review, but this is the Melting Pot my husband took me to on our first Valentine's date. :) It's a stand alone restaurant, not in a strip mall like the other 2 I've been to in Tampa Bay. This location is more romantic than the rest. The food is what you would expect from Melting Pot. I always get over stuffed because we get everything...and everything is good. I believe they have complimentary valet at this location as well. I haven't been back to this location in many years, but look forward to going back maybe for dessert.

We came with a group of 9 girls to the Melting Pot for a friend's birthday. We arrived at the bar shortly before 7 to learn that happy hour runs until 7pm and includes half off all drinks. Score! The bartender was even kind enough to extend it by a few minutes so we could all get our drink orders in. We were seated in a small "private" room that fit our table of 9 perfectly. The table had comfy rolling chairs and 3 hotplates for the fondue. Our server was friendly and super knowledgeable. We decided to each get the 4-course special for $24.95 (choice of cheese fondue, choice of salad, pre-set entree of chicken, shrimp, and filet, and choice of dessert). Our server was kind enough to agree to modifications to the preset menu (so someone who didn't like shrimp could substitute extra filet, or someone who didn't like chicken could substitute extra shrimp, etc.). The girls in our group of girls cleared out the Meiomi pinot noir so when late additions to our group went to order and they were out, the manager agreed to sell us a bottle of La Crema at the slightly lower price of the Meiomi. Tremendous customer service and little touches that showed a desire to please. We started with two alpine cheddar fondues and a brie with pear. Brie was my favorite, but some people preferred the alpine cheddar. We had originally planned to order one traditional cheddar and changed our minds and when one girl in our group was bummed, our server brought one out complimentary. Again, excellent service. Salads were small (in a good way) but tasty. Entree cooking was fun, and we thought the portions were perfect. We were constantly offered more dippers (aside from the proteins). For dessert, we had the 3 most popular: white chocolate bananas foster, milk chocolate turtle, and dark chocolate dulce de leche. My favorite was the dark chocolate so I'm glad it was right in front of me :) Not to judge, but anyone who thinks the portions aren't big enough is bonkers. We were all in a food coma by the end of the night and didn't even finish the last bites. The food was all very good - great quality ingredients and a really fun, different thing to do. Only a few complaints. It took more than 20 minutes to get our checks. May have been the struggle of splitting the bill (sorry!!!) but by that time, it was after 10 and we were dying to get out of there and get home (old ladies we are). Also, the parking is kind of a mess. The front lot is super small and the back lot requires a walk through a creepy back alley. I really think they should offer valet...we were all fairly uncomfortable walking back to our cars in the back lot, even in a group. I would definitely recommend the Melting Pot for a fun evening out...seriously perfect for a fun girls' night. We are appreciative that our server and the manager did everything they could to make our friend's birthday special! We had a great time.

For a special occasion, be sure to get a booth For this visit my wife made reservations for us on open table.com for our 12th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess who took our last name, fiddled around for what seemed like two or three minutes, and then asked us to follow her to our table. We were situated in what was basically the middle of the room on a four top. Before we sat down, my wife and I actually teetered on whether or not we should request a booth or not, but we ultimately remained seated at this table thinking that the restaurant must have been full which is why we ended up with this table. Later we would discover that we were completely incorrect on that assumption and that we could have been given a much more romantic booth. We would also later learn that this restaurant actually has about a dozen secluded booths which we discovered on our way out, poking our heads into different rooms as we made our way to the door. Honestly, I found that to be truly inexcusable as we purposely made the restaurant aware that we were there for our anniversary several times over. We started the evening with the pear and brie cheese fondue and a bottle of the Mirassou Pinot Noir for $30. The wine is a fairly decent bottle which would normally set you back $10 in the store. It has strawberry undertones and we found it to be quite delightful for our meal. The fondue was served with a small bowl of vegetables including mostly cauliflower, followed by celery, and carrots. In another bowl we found Granny Smith apples and lastly a large bowl of sliced bread, which was a mixture of French and a couple of pieces of wheat/French bread. I would suggest asking for just bread during this phase of your meal as the other items do not allow you to actually experience the wonderful blend of cheeses and pears. In fact, I'd venture to say that the vegetables will actually leave you scratching your head as to why they are served in the first place. We decided not to get any salads, and instead move directly to entrées. It is suggested that you get two or three of the entrée choices to make up each individuals meal. While I found this to be spot on in terms of portion size, I do have a few suggestions. My wife and I each ordered filet mignon, and I ordered the lobster tail and my wife ordered the shrimp as our second entrées. I am going to guess that the portion sizes for each plate are around 4 ounces. We both found the fillets to be perfect cuts of meat. The lobster tail was cut into four pieces and was very strangely sprinkled with some sort of red granular spice that neither of us could identify. This seemed to detract from the overall taste of the lobster so much so that for my second piece I actually dumped it in my water glass and swirled it around until most of that "red seasoning" was absent. Then and only then did the lobster actually taste like lobster. Overall for the $9.50 you pay for the lobster tail I'd recommend skipping it. Same was true unfortunately for the shrimp as well. You only get three shrimp for the price, making them difficult to share and they are large shrimp not jumbo, which makes the value poor. It would probably be better to either double up on the filet which was an excellent choice or perhaps grab another protein. We also decided to try the macaroni and cheese and grilled vegetables as a couple of additional sides. The description of the macaroni and cheese sounded delightful and we asked about it with our server he said it was truly incredible. I have a couple of very important suggestion I have regarding side items. First, skip the vegetables as they were just "okay" as a mixture of zucchini, green peppers and string beans, mostly. Next, I would advise that if you do get a side item such as the macaroni and cheese which was incredibly delightful it would be best for you to eat that first as the rest of your meal will wait. We decided to nibble on this along the way and unfortunately about halfway through our entrées we discovered that it got cold a little too quickly and didn't taste as nearly as good at room temperature as it did when it was hot. For dessert we decided on the "Dark and Dulce" and a couple of glasses of Grand Marnier. The dessert was described as "a classic flavor combination featuring our dark chocolate and sweet, thick dulce de leche accented with coarse ground sea salt". It was served with an assortment of side items on one, plate, even though you pay per person. Items included some bananas, strawberries, poundcake, rice crispy treats, blonde and chocolate brownies and dusted marshmallows. Other than the fruit, everything we tried seemed off. I'd swear that the rice crispy treats were actually stale. We ended up asking for additional strawberries and bananas and giving back the entire plate. We were brought out a couple of bowls of strawberries and bananas both of which were quite fresh and delicious. Overall this dessert tasted wonderful

This is a good place for a first time experience but that is about it. I will definitely be coming back for Chocolate Fondue by its self just for dessert but not for dinner. Like I said it's neat to try for a first time experience but it was just expensive for not that much of the main course. I chose the 4 courses and started with the Cheddar cheese fondue for my first course. It came with bread, apples, and some vegetables for dipping in the cheese. Second course was salad and I chose The Melting Pot House Salad with the Tangy House Dressing. Third course was the main course and I went with the Filet Mignon, Pork, and Pesto Chicken. These three were very small portions so I cut them into very small bights to make it last. For the fourth course, my favorite course, was the Chocolate Fondue. It came with a nice variety of strawberries, blondies, bananas, pineapple, marshmallows, pound cake, and brownies. They will also refill the plate if you run out of any of these selections before you run out of chocolate. Service was awesome!! Our waiter new that this was our first time so he went over the menu very well in depth explaining all the possible options. But for the food, It was just ok, the pork was a little over cooked and again they were very small. Overall though I was full by the time I left which took about 2 hours from walking in to walking out. I can't wait to go back for more of that chocolate!

If you can't spell romantic, if you are going to dinner by yourself, or you want a loud place with TV's and lots of activity....this is not your place. The seating is always quiet and intimate. There is not a view of the water and we don't sit outside here....sorry for those expecting to see that here....I do eat at a few places where this is not possible. Only a few which speaks volumes about this place. Great food, plenty of it. And if you leave without trying the desert, woops you missed a huge opportunity. Yes, its a little pricey. Ambiance and romance don't come cheap. This is great way to enjoy an evening out.

I went here recently with the big group of friends. I've never done fondue in a group setting like this. I like the concept of it but the cheese was not the best of quality. I'm not saying the cheese was bad, I'm just saying it wasn't anything extra special. They give you bread, apples, cauliflower and carrots for dipping automatically. The meet is extra it doesn't come with the cheese. The meet is served after the cheese. I didn't get the meat but it looked good. The salads were very good.I had the pear one.The chocolate fondue is interesting. It was honestly my favorite part of the meal. Their bite-size desserts were really good.I will say that the fondue chocolate starts to taste the same after it's been sitting for a few minutes. My group did the Smore's,The banana split and the one that involves salt. I can't speak for the banana split because I can't do bananas but everyone loved that one.The cocktail list was very interesting and detailed. The wine selection is respectable. My group did the combo for $20 a person which included the cheese fondue, the salad and a chocolate fondue.I like that their wine selection offers two different glass sizes. I went with the larger size 10 ounce glass of Schmidt Riesling.my bill was $32 plus tip. It was kind of pricey given the quality of the cheese but it's definitely a "showy" type of place. The waiters definitely make a spectacle of the food. It's entertaining. The building is old but very clean and doesn't smell musty. I like the old charm of it. The waiter said they do happy hour every day from 4 to 7 and the deals for that sounded pretty good so maybe I'll be back for happy hour.

I love, love, love The Melting Pot. It is one of my favorite places to go for a special occasion. We went for my husband's birthday. The courses are always perfectly timed, and it is one of the few places that I don't feel rushed through my meal. I love all of the cheeses in Melting Pot land. My favorite is the Alpine. I have not been super impressed with the salads. You simply must have chocolate when dining here. I love the original and the Yin and Yang. I have also enjoyed several of their specialty cocktails. The Fiery Pineapple Margarita is one of the best examples of sweet and spicy. I enjoy a full meal, but it is also a great place to go for happy hour and enjoy the bar menu.

When we arrived there was no one at the front to welcome us, once they did we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The waiter was very nice and since it was our first time there he took the time to explain how everything worked. It was a neat experience, dont know if i would go back again because it was pricey, i just didnt think the food was worth the price, you had to cook it yourself, i know it was a fun experience but when i go out to eat i want someone else to do all the work, otherwise i would just stay at home, the place was clean and dimly lite so it was at times hard to see if your food was fully cooked. If you want to spend a ton of money in a nice place then this is for you,

Yikes! I can't believe it's taken me this long to review the St. Pete Melting Pot! We've gone here a few times now and it's always a great experience. Most recently, I took my in-laws who have quite a few dietary restrictions. They have a completely gluten-free menu and prepare the gluten-free food on entirely different surfaces, with different kitchen tools and aprons than the gluten contaminated food. So, if you're with someone that's gluten-intolerant they WILL NOT get sick from eating here. It's all nice that you can completely customize your fondue because it is all prepared in front of you. Allergic to pepper, ask them not to add it and they're happy to oblige. We love that the manger calls before we come in to confirm and see if there's anything extra they can do for the night and the servers are awesome.

Girls night out last night at the Melting Pot was a hit as always. This location offers items others do not which added to the experience. The entire staff was attentive to our needs. And we learned they have one of the most private tables in St. Pete.

FOOD POISONING AT CARROLLWOOD LOCATION! Our server Michael disappeared for 30 minutes, too. Terrible. This place has gone downhill. Save your $$$. Both my friend and I got soooooooooooooooo sick from eating here. Don't go to the Carrollwood location unless you want food poisoning..

Groan!! This place might be some girls' dream date, but I have to say it's probably most guys' nightmare. I've been sucked into this place on a few occasions and I'm done! Two hours and well over $100 for the privilege of cooking your own dinner with marginal service and uninspiring food choices. I will give them this: The chocolate fondue desserts are really good! So, my recommendation to those guys who have been hinted at to go to Melting Pot -- take her somewhere else for dinner and then head over to Melting Pot for dessert. You'll have a much better dinner, you won't have to suffer for two hours while you cook your own meal, and you'll get points for thinking up a great date involving two different locations.

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day and it was a first time for us both. It was a special treat for a special occasion even though service was a little slow (understandable). Be ready to spend about 2.5 hours here if you've never been. I would return for drinks and dessert but would skip out on dinner next time.

My boyfriend and I had the best anniversary dinner here. The waitress was so friendly and the food was so yummy. It IS costly but you are paying for the experience and the very romantic atmosphere. We will be going back next year. The only complaint I have is that you don't have very good choices in which you have to dip in your cheese. They give you bread, very little fruit and a couple unappealing vegetables. The main course was to die for, they give you buttery oil to cook your meat in and you have the choice to add spices and/or wine to the mixture. They also give you very delicious sauces to dip the meat in. The dessert was also excellent, they have a good amount of choices of what kind of chocolate you can choose from. We ordered the dark chocolate with almond flavored liqueur mixed in.

When I think of melting pot, I think of modern and chic. I am from Seattle and I used to go to melting pot pretty often. Love the fondue style. We just moved to Florida and My husband took me to this location for valentines. Everything was great (food, service) but the building and location sucks. It's very old looking. Inside looked very dated as well. Atmosphere was great. Reminded me of some old mom and pop cafe type of environment. Just wasn't impressed with this location.

Such a relaxing and fun night out. The food is extremely tasty; and the staff are usually extremely helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special - and even helped me around the gluten free options available. Everything on their menu can be customized.

I have always wanted to try this place, heard and read wonderful things. The experiences and service where good; server was wonderful. It was a bit over priced for my taste but the food was alright. The cheese fondue appetizer and chocolate fondue desert was wonderful; but the food that we had to cook ourselves in a bowl of broth was nothing special. Where my review loses most of its stars has to do with the hours that I spent in the bathroom with violent sickness. Something that I ate here was horribly bad... Which is unfortunate because I expected much more from this restaurant.

We always loved coming here for special occassions but now with their happy hour prices and food selections in the lounge area, it's great for everyday as well. They have 1/2 price drinks and appetizers. A good assortment too so it's not just fondue. Kobe beef sliders, lobster quesadillas, flatbreads plus all the fondue choices. Their martinis are to die for as well!

I am only giving this place 2 stars because it has an interesting concept and style unlike anywhere else. 1) The service was hardly even there. We had to ask multiple times to get our drinks refilled. At a point in the night, our waiter just left us sitting for like 40+ minutes, and when he finally reappeared he filled up drinks and left again for another extended period of time. Service was sub-par. 2) The atmosphere was very quality, the people there were nice and the restaurant itself did not get to loud not was it overcrowded. Solid atmosphere. 3) The food was decent at best. The concept of sharing with a whole table works, except when you have a table of 8 that all wants to get different things, yet all the people must agree upon 3 items. We ended up getting 3 cheeses which tasted good, but there was not nearly enough for 8 people to feel good about. We all ordered other things too. I dislike the idea of how you have to cook your own food in the pot. I had to make my own steak an lobster in the pot, like I said earlier, very cool concept, but executed poorly. I got about 5 half ounce pieces of steak, and about 5 quarter to half ounce pieces of lobster. They were delectable, but I tend to eat a lot of food and that minuscule amount of food could not please me. The dessert was cool too, but again the whole table of people must decide upon 3 desserts. This is not as easy as it may seem. We got a very little amount of each dessert, although they tasted scrumptious. I enjoyed the food, but there was just not enough sustenance to satisfy a big eater like myself. 4) the prices were high considering the amount of food we actually got. The menu was written up in a funky way so that you didn't really know how much the things were until after it was all said and done. The desserts were pricey and so were the meager cheeses. The entrees were outlandishly expensive for the minuscule portions we were given. Consequently, not one of my finer dining experiences. I may look to go back to this chain sometime, but definitely not at this location.

This is the second time that I have eaten at this particular Melting Pot so I have combined the experiences to come up with the three stars. First the good... The experience is unique and that is a plus. Searching to try different combinations of cooking styles, foods and condiments that go best together is enjoyable. We opted for a four course meal which took about two and a half hours to finish which actually adds to the enjoyment. You don't feel rushed and you can really enjoy your company. The bad... ok it really isn't bad per se. The cheese fondues and the dessert fondues are terrific. The entree's are average. The entree had included pork medallions, shrimp, sirloin steak, chicken breast, lobster and a kind of mushroom stuffed dumpling which in my opinion was the highlight. So with that kind of selection you'd think something there would be something to blow your socks off. The reality is you are boiling everything in the same pot so the flavor spectrum doesnt change very much from chicken to lobster. The 5 condiments for dipping the foods are really more influential to how it tastes than the actual food itself. Now the ugly. I hesitate to include this because I get the feeling our experience was the exception not the rule. My wife and I don't get the chance to dine out alone together very often so we were looking forward to enjoying each others company. On this particular night there was a large group of women that were there to celebrate someones birthday. Unfortunately they had zero regard for the rest of the diners. They were loud enough that we had to shout at times in order to hear one another. The management in order to avoid a conflict and tell the party to quiet down they opted to give my wife a free drink and thank us for OUR patience. It kind of sucked to the point that I can't say that Im in a hurry to go back. Then our server was a nice enough guy but he was both slightly inappropriate with his small talk and he was very slow and needed to be reminded on several occasions of something we had asked for or needed.

Had a surprise party for my girlfriend there this past weekend. They really took are of everything. The staff was super courteous and everything was perfect. The manager even came by to wish my girlfriend a happy birthday! They gave her a special plate with happy birthday written on it and extra pound cake for the chocolate fondue. I would highly recommend coming here for your future events. They also offer different packages available including a picture in a melting pot frame, roses, or chocolate wafers to do your own fondue at home.

I went for a free yelp event so I am not sure if I am the best to comment on this place. My first time there and it was a great experience. I had been wanting to go to the Melting Pot for awhile now and the fondue was the delicious. Service was friendly and I do like that they are incorporating their skinny menu which has lower calorie options, including cocktails. I prefer their spinach artichoke fondue...it was tasty as was there cheddar fondue. The chocolate fondue is killer and not a thing to try when it is a diet day ha ha ha. I definitely would come back to this place again and I liked the intimate atmosphere. Glad I took the opportunity to try it out. Next time want to go for the full fondue experience!

After working a restaurant shift all day serving people sometimes all you want to do is kick back and have someone serve you. With this being said, it is difficult to find a server that meets your expectations at times and genuinely cares about your dining experience. Tonight was the night where a dynamic trio took our dining experience to the next level. Dillon was the most professional server we have had and that is saying a lot as we are very critical working in the restaurant industry ourselves. From the way he carries himself to how he made sure the consistency of the cheese was flawless (as many servers fail to do) to his suggestions for chocolate- everything about his work was flawless. Brandon, his aid for the evening that removes the pots, was very friendly, interactive and humble. Many times, the bussers go unnoticed and seem to just be there, however, Brandon made his appearance known which was excellent as it showed off his pleasant personality. Food was excellent as always, but what really drove the experience through the roof was the perfect service. The manager, Malcolm also made sure to stop by and was very professional and friendly as well. All three of these men truly went above and beyond our expectations this evening and deserve major recognition. Thank you Melting Pot for your outstanding food and out of this world service staff!

This new star rating reflects the better service and attitude I experienced on a recent CMYE here to sample their new Skinny Dipping menu. I believe in rating accordingly and the Melting Pot deserves the new rating. When I dine here next I'll expect the same great service and dining experience I encountered this night. Thanks for hosting us Melting Pot !!!!

I reserved a spot during Valentine's weekend this year (they have a decent deal, which was like 75.00 per couple "all in" minus tip and drinks). Nice atmosphere, and the food was good enough. However - it was not very memorable or surprising. I can think of many other, nicer options if I'm planning to drop a hundred bucks+ for dinner. The Melting Pot is a chain, and in the end I think it really *feels* like one - the experience didn't really feel like a value for the money. I have no problem spending top dollar (150+) on a nice meal out with long pants on (heh)...but this place feels like it's missing some substance. The 75 dollar deal was pretty good though.

I have been to the Melting Pot in other locations and like the concept although it is probably not in your waistline's best interest to make it too much of a habit! This particular location had a great presentation both inside and out. I particularly enjoyed their wine cellar - it was not very large, but it provided an excellent opportunity to view much of what they had up close, unlike a number of other places. The biggest challenge is agreeing on the cheese type for the first course and then the oil flavoring for the main course. All of them are delicious, but some clearly go better with meat or seafood depending on your selection. Once you get that out of the way, do your absolute best not to inhale all of the bread and cheese that arrives first. It is tempting, smells delicious and you are so hungry - but trust me, holding out is worth it! The main course will usually take a few minutes for each piece to cook, which enables a nice pace to the meal. If you get very engrossed in your conversation the oil will bubble up enough to get your attention, so don't worry about ruining any of your food. I tip my hat to you if you have room for dessert ....

Aways fantastic, never a disappointment and always a fabulous evening with friends and family. Very relaxing atmosphere, quaint and just a relaxing evening to visit with each other over a wonderful meal or just snack. The selections and options are superb when the table orders the same thing, only drawback is one cooking pot which limits ordering multiple cheeses or chocolates. Endless supply of dippers for dessert and cheeses, the selection of main entree' is more than adequate and when we order all 4 courses usually regret it after due to the fact we over eat. Just a wonderful stop on our way home from the beach for cheese and chocolate as well as dinner with friends.

As I'm sure everyone knows, Melting Pot is a unique fondue experience. I loved the entire evening, the fondue was good, the food came out in about the time I would expect. The only reason my review is not 5-stars is because the set up of this location. We were seated next to a family with a loud child and it really took away from the experience. I will probably stick to the Scottsdale Arizona location.

My fiance took me to The Melting Pot on 4th street for my birthday. It was amazing. This was my first fondue experience and our server Scott was both funny and informative. He explained everything and was patient with a newbie. We ordered the 3 course experience which I assume is what use to be called the big night out. The first course was the cheese course. We had the traditional Swiss. It was really delicious. The flavors just came together really well. The second course our cooking style was coq au vin. The flavors were not too overpowering to any of the meats we had which was really good. Scott was great about replacing all of the red meat options for me and substituting them with different options. The salmon and the shrimp were my favorites. The chicken was very good as well. I didn't like the duck but it was my first time having it.The wild mushroom sacchetti was a pleasant surprise especially with all the of the flavors in the fondue pot. We ended it all with the flaming turtle. I don't know how we fit all that food into our bodies but we did. The flaming turtle was delicious. The milk chocolate with caramel and candied pecans were a mix made in heaven. Plus, the flambe was fun! We... I mean, I made reservations online and we got an excellent table that was intimate. If you're claustrophobic or need a lot of light, do not get a booth in the back. But for us, it was really romantic. The service was top notch as well. Everyone was really nice. My fiance and I agree this place has been the best birthday dinner we've had together.

Was not very impressed. Apparently there is a new menu and if I ever do go back it will be for the chocolate only. Main dish is not worth it to me

Been here a few times, even my profile photo is from here. I always enjoy my meal and the privacy that I feel from the private alcove booths will be going back as often as I can

What an awesome experience! I have never done fondue before this. Loved the food, the service, the atmosphere. It's a bit pricey, but I am definitely going back.

Me and my fiancé came here a year ago when I asked her to marry me and we decided to come back every year. This place is great, the food is wonderful you pretty much cook it yourself. Also the cheese and chocolate fondues are wonderful. The portions are great it doesn't seem like a lot but if you get the 3-4 course meal then you should get filled. That's what we have gotten the last few times we have gone. It starts with a cheese fondue, then you get your salad, then your main course of broth that you cook your meats in and there are pre picked meat but they got a list on the menu that you can interchange what you want. You can add the chocolate fondue at the end to complete the meal for like 15 dollars depending on the fondue you pick its a great meal I definitely would recommend it. The atmosphere of this melting pot is very nice it has a romantic touch. You can get a regular table or a more secluded table where there is 3 walls and one opening. Needless to say we will continue to come back here every year on our anniversary. I would definitely recommend this to everyone you don't need to get a meal you can just get a chocolate fondue or a cheese fondue. This is a great place for a romantic experience.

What a blast! My husband and I were looking for somewhere to go to "get away" from a very stressful week. We had a coupon for the 4-course fondue feast ($35/pp) and decided to go-walked in with no reservation. BEST DECISION EVER! We asked for the table in the back #43. You are completely isolated-very romantic and private. We tried the special French Feast-so yummy. Both the Brie cheese fondue and the white chocolate creme brulee courses were outstanding and need to be included on their regular menu! I also love their house salad/dressing. Our main course was the classic oil but there are several broth varieties available. I will tell you to go oil--the meat is more flavorful and you can batter you choices in addition to the 7 dipping sauces they give you. We loved our server Henry who was both funny and knew when to make the perfect exit. Ask for him-he is outstanding. Perfect food, excellent service and extensive wine list relieved us of our aforementioned sour moods! This is a place where you "dine" so be prepared to relax and soak up the experience. Plan for around 2 hours for a 4 course meal. You can just go there for dessert (date night bonus) which should be about a 45 minute adventure. If you are going on a Fri or Sat, you may want to make a reservation or at least call ahead. The bar/lounge is actually quite nice but tables don't tend to turn over quickly. Also, if you need a secluded date night, be sure to ask for the secluded tables in the back. They also handle larger parties--I've been there with a group of 12 and had just as much fun!

Was expecting better. Small portions of meat. Low quality potatoes. At least the cheese was good. Left slightly disappointed, still hungry and $100 less my bank account. Not planning on coming back.

There honestly is little I don't love about melting pot. I love the atmosphere, I enjoy going there with friends that I love to have conversations with because it allows you time to pace your dining room experience. I find it disappointing that they did away with there mushroom salad. Though all the other points of there food are on point for me. I do enjoy this place so much!

Took my mom here to celebrate the completion of my move to St. Pete. Not only were they incredibly gracious about us booking a late dinner reservation (9:00pm), but they didn't blink any eye when we showed up exhausted, and barely able to make it there fresh out of the shower much less all dolled up. The staff and regular patrons were fun, the meal delish as always with Melting Pot, but our server (Carlos?) was a doll. Thank you Melting Pot for making my mom's first experience with fondue a raving success!

If you've never experienced a fondu restaurant then you should give this place a go. The melting pot is may have you thinking of a 1970s style place with fondu pots churning away, and you are close to correct, but it has a classy appeal at the same time. Each table is equipped with a burner where your pot will be placed. New pots are brought out for each part of your meal. I remember having a delicious mushroom salad there once. But dessert is always my favorite - melted chocolates with strawberries, cakes and other fruits. Prices are pretty outrageous, I'm not going to lie. And they have valet parking outside. The only time I ever came here was for my parent's anniversary (no idea why I was included in that) and one of my birthdays growing up as a teen. The booths throughout the restaurant are very secluded by wooden walls and the lights are low. A very romantic place to take a date or a significant other if you have the money to spend.

Ladies night at the Melting Pot was amazing. I believe they host it about once a month and it was a flat rate. We had some sort of cheddar cheese with bread/veggies/apples, salad, main course of chicken/beef/shrimp/scallops, and dessert which was smores with dark chocolate dipping sauce (which we requested). My only complaint which is shared with a lot of my peers is that is TAKES FOREVER to eat there. This is a great date place when you want to get to know someone. However, if you don't like your dining partnr, this will be at least 2.5 hours of pure hell. Thankfully, I heart my girlfriend so we had fun. They have a huge wine selection so ordering a bottle is most cost effective since in Florida you get to take it home with you. It was a pleasant experience and we plan on going back soon. And I say it is casual. I mean, just because a restaurant can cost a lot of $ doesn't mean it is fancy. I mean it is FONDU a random trend form the 70s!! There is mood lighting but this is not some four star restaurant. I didn't dress up-- I wore jeans, chucks & a clean t-shirt. Some people were dressed up but most were in nice casual clothing.

AWESOME! Yes, its not something we would go to more than a few times a year but for special occasions or a few times a year, it was great! We meet another couple there, we had a reservation but got there early and had a drink in the bar. The bar area is super cool with wood beams!! I ordered a Perseco and was more than impressed in the serving size! Everyone was super nice, the host(s), bartender, our server, the busser, the manager! Once sat at a comfy booth the server explained everything to us since none of us had ever been there. The experience alone was very cool. the cheese fondue was awesome! the salad was the only thing we had a complaint about, very small serving for the price. The meats were seasoned perfectly and the sauces were all yummy! the desert was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Scott was our server and not only did he know his job but he was light hearted, welcoming and really helped make it a great experience! I will return again!

The Melting Pot has always been one of my favorite restaurants and the 4th street location is my favorite location. It's in an old house, converted into a restaurant, its super cozy and romantic. I highly recommend this for a date night as you'll be there a while. If you're not into cooking your own food at your table, this is not for you. Try the cheddar fondue, and the oil for cooking. Yum!

I have been going to the Melting Pot for many years now. This was the first time I went to this location. I should also say that I have not been to a Melting pot in a little over a year. I think I may have to stop going. It isn't that the food isn't good but it is just not as good as it once was. The menu seems to have changes. We ordered the Big Night Out. The soup mixture that was brought out was not good. It tasted like imitation chicken broth from a powder base. Also the dipping sauces have been changed. I asked the server not to included the pork. This is also a new addition to the menu. It still came out. I have to say this was a big turn off for me. The idea of raw pork on my plate is really not for me. She told me she would bring me some more shrimp instead of the pork but never removed the pork. Anyway I have to say altogether this is a fun place to go but it really isn't what it used to be.
